@nicolene.pb : 2020 was a lot but nothing had prepared me for this. It’s been a few weeks and I’ve been going back and forth on whether to post about this but I realized how important it is to shine light on a dark moment. My great grandmother has passed away at the age of 103 on November 8th 2020. I’ve had to deal with grief, guilt and sadness along with a hundred other things I can’t even put into words. But through it all I had to keep going, I had to live through all breakdowns and all the tears because I knew she would tell me to keep going forward and don’t let anything stop you from living life to the fullest. Because that’s what she did, she lived an incredible 103 years and through those years she’s taught me so much. Yai Chuat I will forever have you in my memories as a reminder to enjoy every moment I have and to live fully and experience everything life has to offer. Thank you to everyone who has been with me through my times of grief and helping me get through the death of someone so important in my life. Through tough times, I look down and I see just myself. But when I pick up my head and I look to my left and right I see my friends and family and all the people I love, and now I know that when I look up, I will see my beautiful great grandma watching me and guiding me and protecting me through all the walks of life.
